🎬 WATCH "HARVEY"
BIO
Magic Nic left the cold New England plateau chasing a sound he couldn’t name—finding pieces of it on the sticky stages and broken amplifiers of the inner-west. Cutting his teeth belting harmonies in garage-pop outfit Easy Street and transcending the astral plane with noise-rockers Greyhound, he began stitching together his own crooked hymns—part confession, part conjuring.
In recent years, he quietly put out a handful of solo tunes—raw and reverent bedroom recordings that hinted at something bigger. Magic Nic & the General Electric is that arrival: his first full-band offering, a warbling, smoke-stained blend of Bukka White moan, Chet Baker cheese, and Billie Holiday bend—all captured live to tape in the belly of a whale! Good sir—believe me.
Their debut single “Harvey” is a soulful love letter from the garage floor, and a taste of the self-titled EP to come. At his back, The General Electric are the most frightening rhythm section of innèr-wèst crème you could ever hope to crack a spoon on.
